Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei said Monday that “Jesus is prophet of, we the Muslims, too.”
“There are many verses in Quran about Jesus Christ (PBUH),” Ayatollah Khamenei said in a post on his Twitter account on the occasion of Christmas.
“We recognize him as an arch-prophet,” the Leader added.
In a previous message, Ayatollah Khamenei said “If Jesus the Prophet was present with us today, he wouldn’t have hesitated to fight the global arrogance and to defend the oppressed.”
