A drone attack has targeted the Al-Tanf base affiliated to the US occupation in Homs eastern countryside on the Syrian-Iraqi borders.
Multiple explosions rocked the US base at Al-Tanf area after being targeted by a number of rockets today, Reuters news agency quoted US officials as saying.
One of the officials told the agency that the attack has been carried out by explosive-laden drones.
Talking to AFP news agency, a US official claimed there were no injuries. However, US officials often keep casualties secret.
Al-Mayadeen Arabic channel reported that the attack was carried out by three drones launched from Iraq and two drones launched from Syria.
The drone attack comes a week after a deadly Israeli strikes on Syria’s on Palmyra in Homs countryside, killing at least Syrian soldier and injured many others. Last week’s strikes took place from the direction of the Al-Tanf area, where US occupation forces are stationed in the Arab country.
Responding to the US-Israeli strikes, Syria’s Allies Joint Operations Room vowed a harsh response.
