WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook all went down in a global outage on Monday evening.
The three apps are all owned by Facebook and run on shared infrastructure.
Users of the apps took to Twitter to express their disappointment following the outage.
Facebook Workplace also stopped working.
Responding to the outage, WhatsApp informed its technical team was working to get things back to normal and will send an update here as soon as possible.
Also, Facebook acknowledged the breakdown.
