The Lebanese ministry of public health issued on Tuesday its daily report in which it announced 2668 new coronavirus cases, 2637 of them for locals and 31 for the arrivals, raising total to 465007.
The report added that 24003 PCR tests were conducted during the past 48 hours, adding that the number of cases of recovery from the coronavirus rose to 368849.
According to the report, 48 new coronavirus-related death cases were registered, which raised toll to 6184.
The report noted that 139623 citizens received the first shot Pfizer vaccine, adding that the second shot have been given to 77249 of them.
Lebanon has continued the anti-coronavirus vaccination campaign across all the provinces as the batches of Pfizer vaccines are scheduled to arrive in Beirut on a weekly basis. Moreover, on March 22, the country started a new phase of a comprehensive plan to ease a total lockdown and reopen the economic sectors which took into effect on the eight of the same month.
