The United Arab Emirates’ Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan said his country is committed to work with the administration of US President Joe Biden to reduce regional tensions.
The remarks were in a phone call with the US’ Special Envoy for Iran Rob Malley, state news agency WAM reported on Saturday.
Al-Nahyan affirmed “the UAE’s commitment to strengthening relations and working closely with the administration of U.S. President Joe Biden to reduce regional tensions, start a new dialogue and consolidate cooperation frameworks under the umbrella of the Abraham Accords,” the agency reported.
The UAE top diplomat earlier had a phone call with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, in which he affirmed the “steady growth in cooperation between the two friendly countries across all fronts.”
