Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif hit back at his German counterpart for the idea of a new deal with Tehran including limits on its missile power, saying the three European parties to the 2015 nuclear deal must honor their commitments before speaking about what Iran should do.
In a post on his Twitter account, Zarif said German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas and the three EU parties to the 2015 nuclear deal must do the following “before speaking about what Iran should do.”
“Here’s what @HeikoMaas & E3 must do before speaking abt what Iran should do: Stop despicable #CovidApartheid,” Zarif tweeted on Friday night.
He was referring to recent reports in the Israeli media that said Germany has promised to include the Zionist entity in the EU’s coronavirus vaccination deal that is being made with large pharmaceutical companies.
According to TRT World, the pledge was made by German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas and Health Minister Jens Spahn to Israeli Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi as a continuation of the country’s “special relationship” because of the Holocaust.
However, there have been no commitments made by Germany towards the Palestinians, who are suffering from a shortage of medical equipment
“Stop despicable Covid Apartheid, honor your obligations under UN Security Council Resolution 2231, and stop violating JCPOA,” Zarif said.
He also urged Germany to end “malign behavior” in the region, including the “$100 billion arms sales to Persian Gulf and blind support for Israel terror.”
