Lebanon on Sunday recorded 11 coronavirus-related deaths with 1,163 new infections on the second day of full lockdown imposed by Lebanese government earlier this week.
In its daily report, Ministry of Public Health said 1,161 new infections were recorded among local residents, while the other 2 cases were imported, raising the total infections nationwide since February to 105,430.
11 new fatalities were registered over the past 24 hours, raising the nationwide death toll to 817, the ministry added.
7,788 PCR tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, including 857 at Beirut International Airport, according to the report.
835coronavirus patients have been hospitalized in the last 24 hours, including 314 at the ICU rooms, the report added, noting that the number of recoveries reached 60,416.
Lebanon has been since Saturday (November 14) witnessing a two-week full lockdown over surge in coronavirus cases, with caretaker Health Minister Hamad Hasan stressing that the confinement measures aim at raising the readiness of the hospitals across the country in a bid to battle the viral respiratory disease.
Meanwhile on Sunday, Internal Security Forces announced that 3,945 tickets have been issued since the start of the full lockdown on Saturday.
