The imprisoned Secretary General of prominent Shia opposition group in Bahrain, Sheikh Ali Salman saluted steadfastness of Bahrainis on the eighth anniversary of February 14 revolution.
In a call from his prison, Sheikh Salman hailed Bahrainis’ steadfastness and their sticking to the peacefulness of pro-democracy protests, UNews agency reported, citing his family as saying.
Sheikh Salman, who got life sentence by Manama’s supreme court earlier last month, called the Bahraini regime to meet the just and legitimate demands of the Bahraini people, stressing that such step is the right way towards stability and prosperity of Bahrain.
Meanwhile, Sheikh Salman slammed Arab states’ attendance at Warsaw conference in the presence of Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu, stressing the stance which rejects any form of normalization with the Zionist entity.
