Lebanon’s Parliament Speaker, Nabih Berri, was quoted Wednesday by MPs as uttering satisfaction over what happened at the cabinet session of consensus on the proposal he had made, saying that “it constitutes a positive step towards re-arranging and reactivating the work of the government so as to continue to address vital issues in the country, on top of which the oil dossier which must speed up for the transition to the stage of contracting and investment.”
Berri, accordingly, warned of “the Israeli enemy’s attempt to extend a sea line to transport gas to the European depth.”
Speaking about the US embassy’s move to Al-Quds, Berri said “We are facing a new Balfour Declaration that paves the way for the deal of the era at the expense of the Palestinian cause and the rights of the Palestinian people.”
Berri delivered these words during his regular Wednesday meeting with Deputies.
