Lebanon House Speaker Nabih Berri eliminated the possibility of extending the parliament’s mandate, addressing lawmakers during Wednesday parliamentary meeting in Ain el-Tineh.
“My words are also addressed at those who accuse us of seeking an extension,” Berri added.
According to media reports, speaker Berri said that May 15 parliament session would not convene shall consensus between political parties fail on a new electoral law.
