A top commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has pledged to deepen its strategic and faith-based military partnership with Yemeni forces to confront what he termed “global arrogance” and the “Zionist regime.”
The message from Major General Mohammad Pakpour was directed at Yemen’s newly appointed Chief of the General Staff, Youssef Hassan al-Madani. Pakpour used the communication to both congratulate al-Madani and honor his predecessor, General Muhammad Abd al-Karim al-Ghamari, who was recently “martyred in an Israeli airstrike.”

Hailing the late general as a heroic figure of Islam, Pakpour stated that al-Ghamari’s glorious jihad in defending Yemen and resisting “Zionist crimes” has been permanently etched into the history of the nation’s struggle.
The IRGC commander pointed to al-Madani’s first public statement as a sign that such martyrdom only fuels the resolve of the “proud and resistant nation of Yemen” to continue its battle against the enemies of the Islamic Ummah and to defend the oppressed, with a special focus on the people of Palestine and Gaza.
Reaffirming Tehran’s unwavering support, Pakpour declared that the IRGC “renews its pledge to the lofty ideals of the martyrs of the Resistance Front and the liberation of al-Quds al-Sharif (Jerusalem).” He concluded by expressing the IRGC’s full readiness to strengthen spiritual and strategic ties with Yemen’s armed forces in their shared fight.
