In his first public appearance following an Israeli strike targeting his office in Doha, Khalil Al-Hayya—head of Hamas and chief negotiator—expressed pride in his movement’s resilience, declaring that despite his injuries, he stands firm alongside the Palestinian people, particularly in Gaza.
Al-Hayya described the losses suffered—including thousands of women, children, and fighters—as both a painful trial and a badge of honor, emphasizing that “every Palestinian is like a son or a brother.” He vowed that the blood of the martyrs would be “the fuel for victory, a path toward Jerusalem, and a lasting stain on the occupation.”
He called for continued steadfastness in the face of ongoing Israeli aggression, praising Gaza’s unparalleled endurance and sacrifice, which he said embodies the spirit and will of the entire Arab and Islamic nation.

Hamas Submits Response to US Ceasefire Proposal
Hamas has formally delivered its response to the US ceasefire proposal aimed at ending the war on Gaza—a move broadly welcomed across the Palestinian political spectrum as responsible and nationally grounded.
In a position described by many as both “patriotic and pragmatic,” Hamas announced its agreement to Donald Trump’s plan to halt the aggression and release all living Israeli captives as well as the remains of soldiers killed during the war.
The movement also reaffirmed its readiness to hand over governance of the Gaza Strip to a nationally agreed-upon independent or technocratic body, backed by Arab and Islamic support. Hamas stressed that the future of Gaza and the broader rights of the Palestinian people must be addressed within a unified Palestinian framework.
Palestinian Unity and Regional Support
The announcement came amid rare Palestinian consensus, with resistance factions issuing a joint statement backing Hamas’s response. They called for turning this political consensus into concrete steps on the ground, including convening an urgent national meeting to coordinate the transition of Gaza’s administration to the proposed independent authority.
The factions also praised the supportive role played by Arab and Islamic countries—particularly Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey—whose mediation efforts helped forge a unified stance aimed at ending the war and securing Palestinian rights.
Trump Urges Israeli Occupation to Halt Bombing ‘Immediately’
In a move that reportedly caught “Tel Aviv” by surprise, US President Donald Trump publicly called on Israel to immediately cease its bombardment of Gaza, stating that Hamas’s acceptance of the prisoner release deal signals, in his words, a potential path toward “lasting peace.”
Posting on Truth Social, Trump warned that continued airstrikes risk the lives of hostages and undermine prospects for a ceasefire, urging all parties to seize the opportunity for a comprehensive agreement that ends the fighting and opens a new chapter for Gaza.
