The Israeli occupation entity is grappling with deepening political and military disarray as armed resistance groups intensify their operations across multiple fronts, Yedioth Ahronoth reported on Monday.
The Israeli daily highlighted the growing toll on occupation forces and settlers, particularly following a series of coordinated attacks that left several soldiers and civilians dead or injured.
In a revealing analysis, military correspondent Yoav Zeitoun noted that the Israeli army is in the final stages of preparation for a full-scale ground invasion of Gaza, aiming to penetrate the enclave and maneuver in what the Israeli command calls “Hamas’s capital.” However, recent events—including the killing of six settlers at the Ramot junction in occupied Al-Quds (Jerusalem), the deaths of four Israeli soldiers near Gaza City, and drone incursions launched from Yemen—have exposed vulnerabilities and triggered a shift in troop deployment strategies.
Expanding Threats from Yemen and the West Bank
Zeitoun pointed to growing concerns over escalating drone attacks from Yemen, which have challenged the Israeli enemy’s air defense systems. Israeli intelligence now expects these operations to intensify in the coming months as part of what is described as “Operation Gideon Chariots-B.” These developments are prompting the military to bolster forces in the occupied West Bank with reserve battalions, particularly in anticipation of parallel resistance activity.

In his commentary, Zeitoun highlighted a rare alignment between the IOF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi and Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, both of whom have acknowledged the growing complexity of the conflict, which now spans Gaza, the West Bank, and Israel’s northern front.
Heightened Alert in the West Bank
Israeli occupation forces continue to investigate the deadly Ramot junction shooting, which killed six settlers and wounded over a dozen others. Preliminary intelligence suggests the attack was carried out by an independent local cell with no formal ties to organized resistance factions.
This morning, the two Palestinian martyrs Muthanna Amro and Muhammad Taha bypassed the occupation’s fortified checkpoints and carried out a shooting operation at a settlers’ bus in the “Ramot” settlement and killed 6 settlers.

In response, Israeli occupation forces have intensified their presence around Ramallah, deploying additional battalions from elite units. A full lockdown has been imposed on the villages of Qatna and Qabatiya—the hometowns of the attackers—with residents confined to their homes under sweeping military restrictions. According to Zeitoun, such measures are considered exceptional, evoking memories of the Second Intifada.
House-to-house searches are underway in both villages, as Israeli occupation forces hunt for weapons and attempt to thwart what they call “traditional attacks.” Meanwhile, security agencies are bracing for retaliatory violence by Jewish settlers, a phenomenon that has become increasingly frequent in the Ramallah area over the past six months.
Gaza’s Offensive and Censorship Measures
Citing military sources, Yedioth Ahronoth confirmed the deaths of four Israeli armored corps soldiers in a Hamas operation targeting an Israeli military outpost near Sheikh Radwan, in northern Gaza. The report, released after military censorship was lifted, noted that the attackers may have entered the area through a previously undetected tunnel—an ongoing concern for Israeli forces.
Security officials have acknowledged that Hamas has stepped up its operations in recent weeks, launching repeated attacks aimed at exploiting the fatigue and overstretching of Zionist troops on the ground.
Since the war began on October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation army has lost 904 soldiers—460 of whom were killed during the ongoing ground incursion into Gaza. The sustained casualties and intensifying cross-front threats have cast a long shadow over Israel’s military strategy and exposed critical fault lines in its national defense posture.
