In Lebanon, the political contacts and public as well as secret meetings have continued for the sake of finding a resolution for the deadlock caused by the government decision to disarm the Resistance amid the ongoing aggression and occupation.
The Lebanese government will convene on Friday at Baabda Palace in order to discuss the Army Plan to implement the decision in light of the rifts among the various parties.
According to information obtained by Al-Manar TV, Monday’s meeting between President Joseph Aoun and PM Nawaf Salam disclosed disparity of stances between the two sides. President Aoun tends to reconsider the implementation of the decision due to its repercussions.
The reports indicated that the meeting between the two senior officials did not reach any resolution, adding that the foreign pressures, in this regard, may push the nation into havoc.
Hezbollah and Amal Movement have not decided whether their ministers will attend the session, according to Al-Manar sources, which added that, the government insistence on the disarmament decision may push Hezbollah to reconsider cooperation in South Litani area.
