House Speaker, Nabih Berri, on Tuesday welcomed at the second presidency headquarters in Ain al-Tineh, the US Special Envoy to Lebanon and Syria, Thomas Barrack, and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of US Ambassador to Lebanon, Lisa Johnson, and Speaker Berri’s media advisor, Ali Hamdan.
The meeting, which lasted more than an hour and 15 minutes, addressed developments in Lebanon and the region, as well as political and field updates.
After the meeting, Barrack briefly stated: “The meeting with the Speaker of Parliament was excellent, and we are working toward achieving stability. You must remain hopeful.”
The meeting comes in the context of escalating Israeli violations and attacks on several Lebanese areas, especially the South and Bekaa.
In this regard, the Zionist war jets roamed the skies of Bekaa on Tuesday, creating a sonic boom.
