One of the main targets of the Israeli war on Lebanon in 2024 was Al-Qard Al-Hasan Association with all its branches across the country. This is not weird since the role of the association is basic in securing the necessary funds for the Lebanese people in need of a financial support.
The enemy, thus, decided to deprive the Lebanese from this main support they need to cope with the repercussions of the economic crisis plaguing the country.
In parallel, a politicized propaganda was launched by several media outlets and political groups whose slogans and demands are in harmony with those of the Israeli enemy.
The propaganda was based on promoting slanders against the association by claiming that it is defying the Lebanese law and overlapping the role of the central bank as well as the economic banks.
The director-general of Al-Qard Al-Hasan Association, Mr. Adel Mansour, told Al-Manar that the association is non-profitable and subject legally to the interior ministry, not the central bank, denying and legal violation in this regard.
Mansour added that the association serves all the Lebanese people from the various sects, noting that it has established four more branches in addition to the 36 operating across Lebanon.
We have hired dozens of employees, and our solvency ratio has increased, Mansour affirmed.
Consequently, neither the Israeli war nor the local propaganda could affect the performance of Al-Qard Al-Hasan Association which seek to serve people, without making profits.
