Israeli Airstrikes Destroy Civil Defense Center–Islamic Health Authority
In a statement, the Islamic Health Authority’s Civil Defense Directorate reported that Israeli airstrikes at dawn targeted its newly established Civil Defense Center in Naqoura with three consecutive strikes, completely destroying the facility and damaging two emergency vehicles—a firetruck and an ambulance.
The Civil Defense condemned the attack, stating that while no paramedics were injured, the Israeli aggression is part of its ongoing violations and systematic targeting of emergency teams and humanitarian facilities. The statement accused the Israeli enemy of attempting to hinder rescue operations through deliberate attacks, disregarding all legal and ethical constraints.
Mayor: Israeli Enemy Seeks to Terrorize Border Residents
Naqoura Mayor Abbas Awada condemned the repeated Israeli assaults on southern villages, describing them as an attempt to terrorize residents and prevent their return.
“This ongoing aggression is meant to suffocate life in our villages and intimidate people from coming back,” Awada stated.
He also denounced the latest strike on a prefabricated room used by the municipality to manage public affairs after the Israeli enemy had already destroyed most of the main municipal building.

“This attack is a direct message to the Quintet Committee and UNIFIL, whose headquarters is not far from the targeted site,” Awada added, urging international bodies to take action against Israeli violations.
Despite the Israeli strikes, damage assessment teams from the South Lebanon Council, acting under the directive of council head Hashem Haidar, conducted an inspection of the destruction in Naqoura. Mayor Awada accompanied the assessment teams, underscoring the persistence of local authorities in documenting Israeli violations.
Lebanese Army Removes Israeli Barriers in Labouneh
The Lebanese Army issued a statement confirming the removal of Israeli-engineered obstacles within Lebanese territory in the Labouneh area near Tyre.
“A Lebanese Army unit dismantled Zionist-placed barriers inside Lebanese land and shut down an unauthorized dirt road opened by Israeli forces,” the statement read.
The army reaffirmed its commitment to addressing Israeli occupation violations in coordination with the Quintet Committee and the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), denouncing Israel’s continued breaches of Lebanese sovereignty and its attacks on civilians.
