In Gaza City, Israeli warplanes conducted airstrikes while invading units targeted the Safatawi area in the northwest and the Jabalia refugee camp in the north.
This latest escalation has further exacerbated the dire humanitarian crisis in Gaza, where civilian casualties continue to rise amid relentless attacks and the suffocating Israeli blockade. According to the Ministry of Health, the Israeli occupation has killed 45,553 Palestinians and injured 108,379 since October 7, 2023.
Adding to the suffering, heavy rainfall has flooded over 1,542 tents housing forcibly displaced families in camps and shelters across the Gaza Strip. Rescue teams are working to provide assistance and assess the full extent of the damage.
