An Iraqi commander announced that the federal police troops are besieging ISIL terrorists in Old Mosul and preparing to announce the complete liberation of the entire city within weeks.
The commander of 18th Brigade of the Federal Police Shaker Alwan al-Khafaji said that 25 to 30% of Mosul city is still controlled by ISIL and that the operations to liberate are ongoing.
“We have left two choices for ISIL terrorists in Mosul: either committing suicide or waiting for the Iraqi forces to kill them,” al-Khafaji said.
The Iraqi commander added that all the supply lines to the remaining ISIL terrorists have been blocked and that the takfiri group’s end in the city is imminent.
