Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah underscored on Sunday the profound parallels between the events of the Karbala epic on Ashura and the ongoing brutal massacres perpetrated by the Zionist enemy in Gaza today.
In a speech on the first eve of Muharram, Sayyed Nasrallah highlighted that this year’s Ashura carries a distinctly different atmosphere from previous years, amidst ongoing conflicts in Gaza and southern Lebanon, with daily reports of martyrs and wounded.
Are we not on the right path?
In relation to the ongoing battles on the southern Lebanese front in support of Gaza resistance and people, Sayyed Nasrallah said, “Our responsibility is to uphold the truth, even as we endure accusations, skepticism, and belittlement over the past nine months. In this ongoing struggle amidst the Al-Aqsa flood, as time marches on and our valiant fighters age, our message to the world, allies, and foes remains resolute: we remain steadfast on the righteous path, undeterred by death.”
Sayyed Hasan’s resolute words were imbued with the essence of Ashura 2024’s motto: “Are we not on the path of righteousness?” This slogan underscores the unwavering preparedness to sacrifice oneself, land, and home in the pursuit of justice and the defeat of tyranny.
