Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah discussed “historical events in Gaza” with visiting Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian.
In a statement on Friday, Hezbollah’s Media Relations Office said: “Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah received Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian who was accompanied by his assistant Mehdi Shoushtari and Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Mujtaba Amani.”
Sayyed Nasrallah and the top Iranian diplomat “broached the latest developments in the region following Operation Al-Aqsa Flood and the continuous Israeli aggression on Gaza as well as the brutal crimes against the people and the events taking place in Al-Aqsa Mosque and the West Bank,” the statement, carried by Al-Manar read.
“An assessment was made for the regional and the international stance as well as for the potential repercussions.”
“The two held consultations on the responsibilities shouldered upon parties and the stances that must be taken regarding these historical events and dangerous developments,” the statement added.
The Iranian FM arrived in Beirut late on Thursday, as part of a regional tour to Iraq, Lebanon and Syria amid high tensions in the region over the Israeli aggression on Gaza.
