Israeli occupation authorities have made a major last-minute push this week to advance settlement construction in the West Bank, in the twilight hours of the Trump administration, a non-governmental organization said Wednesday.
According to Peace Now, a left-wing NGO, the tenders provide for the construction of 2,112 settler units in the West Bank and 460 in East Al-Quds.
The group accused the Israeli government of a “mad scramble” to make the most of the final hours of US President Donald Trump’s administration in office.
The report comes after the Zionist entity approved 780 new settler units in the West Bank on Sunday.
The approval drew condemnations from several countries and international organizations, including the UN, the United Kingdom, Egypt and Jordan.
