Lebanese Army Commander, General Joseph Aoun, visited on Wednesday soldiers stationed in the frontlines of ‘Fajr Al-Joroud’ operations in Ras Baalbek and Qaa outskirts.
National News Agency reported that General Aoun arrived aboard a military helicopter to the Border Protection Battalion barracks and set out to inspect Army units on the front-lines of the ‘Fajr EL-Joroud’ operation.
‘Fajr Al-Joroud’, started last Saturday (August 19), is aimed at cleansing the border area of Ras Baalbek and Qaa outskirts from ISIL Takfiri terrorists.
The operation comes few weeks after Hezbollah launched a similar assault to cleanse Arsal outskirts from Nusra Front Takfiri terrorists.
