The missile strike on Haifa came hours after US warplanes conducted multiple airstrikes on Yemen, hitting several locations in and around the capital Sanaa. The American bombardment struck the Asr area in al-Wahda district, the Attan area in southern Sanaa, and the Hamdan district north of the capital. These strikes followed four earlier American airstrikes on the Khabb wa Ash Sha’af district in northeastern Al-Jawf province.
Israeli media reported that sirens sounded across Haifa, Akka, the Krayot, and Mount Carmel—areas not typically targeted in previous Yemeni operations, which have generally focused on Tel Aviv and southern regions including Asdod and the al-Naqab desert.
In a direct response to American military aggression, Yemeni Armed Forces Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced a precision drone operation targeting the USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier and its escort vessels in the Arabian Sea.

This attack followed what Saree described as a successful operation against another carrier group, the USS Truman, which reportedly forced the American vessel to retreat toward the Suez Canal. Saree claimed the earlier confrontation resulted in the downing of an American F/A-18 fighter jet.
The Yemeni forces also conducted drone strikes against strategic targets inside occupied Palestine, further demonstrating their expanding operational capabilities amid the intensifying conflict.
