The Israeli occupation army announced it has launched air strikes on Gaza strip, targeting several positions belonging to Hamas resistance movement.
The Israeli strikes late Saturday came after two days of tensions at the border between the occupied territories and the besieged strip in which two Palestinian teenagers were martyred.
AFP news agency quoted a Palestinian security source in Gaza as saying that Israeli “warplanes raided four positions” of the Al-Qassam Brigades, the Hamas military wing, in central and northern Gaza, causing damage but “no injuries.”
For its part, the occupation army said the strikes were after a drone launched from southern Gaza had crossed into occupied territories’ airspace earlier on Saturday and dropped “what seems to be an explosive device” near the security fence, damaging a military vehicle before returning to Gaza.
On Friday, two Palestinian teenagers were martyred by Israeli fire during weekly protests on the Gaza border, while another 46 sustained bullet wounds, according to Gaza’s health ministry.
