Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) vowed on Saturday to continue boosting the Islamic Republic’s missile power and supporting the anti-Israeli Resistance Front.
In a statement released on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution’s victory, the IRGC described the upcoming rallies as “celebration of Iran’s national unity and the scene of humiliation of the Great Satan (US) and its evil, wicked and deceitful rulers”.
The IRGC assured it will continue serving the people and maintain its active role in the country’s progress its deep awareness of the conditions and requirements for the progress of the Islamic Revolution and the country and through obeying the guidelines and commands of Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei.
The IRGC also vowed to continue its “unstoppable” strategy to develop its missile capabilities to boost the country’s deterrence power and to support the Resistance Front, Tasnim news agency cited the statement.
On Monday, Iranians plan to attend nationwide rallies marking the 40th anniversary of the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
The Iranian nation toppled the US-backed Pahlavi regime on February 11, 1979, ending the 2,500 years of monarchy in the country.
Every year Iranians mark anniversary of their Islamic Revolution from February 1 to 11, known as the Ten-Day Fajr ceremonies. On February 1, 1979, Imam Ruhollah Khomeini, founder of the Islamic Republic in Iran, returned home from years of exile in Iraq, Turkey and France.
