The Lebanese caretaker Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil led on Monday a tour of several areas in the vicinity of Beirut’s airport, especially the Golf Club, to refute the Israeli claims about the existence of missile depots.
Bassil, accompanied by a large number of foreign ambassadors, inspected Ahed Football Stadium touring its various departments, without finding any weird objects there.
Lebanon’s top diplomat addressed the foreign ambassadors, stressing that the invitation aims to inspect the scene and draw the suitable conclusions which refute the Israeli misleading claims.
Bassil added that the Israeli claims aim at justifying a new aggression on Lebanon which is sufficiently fortified and capable of defending itself.
In his UN General Assembly speech, the Zionist PM Benjamin Netanyahu had falsely accused Hezbollah of establishing missile facilities and depots in areas close to Beirut’s airport, warning the Lebanese against the alleged sites.
