Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Tuesday met Jordanian King Abdullah II in the capital Riyadh.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the leaders discussed the US President Donald Trump’s recognition of Al-Quds (Jerusalem) as Israeli capital, and its influence on the so-called peace process in the region.
Last week, Trump, despite widespread international opposition, recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
Bin Salman and the Jordanian king also emphasized the historical rights of Palestinian people on Al-Quds and other occupied areas, the agency said.
They stressed the need for a “permanent and fair solution” to the Palestine issue.
The Jordanian king is expected to attend an extraordinary summit of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Wednesday in Istanbul.
