In a severe escalation deemed a “serious violation” of a truce, a series of violent Israeli airstrikes across Gaza Strip on Wednesday killed 65 Palestinian citizens, including 24 children, and wounded dozens more.
The raids, which targeted displaced persons’ tents and family homes, struck areas including Khan Younis, Deir al-Balah, and Gaza City. Palestinian factions condemned the attacks as a blatant breach of the ceasefire agreement brokered in Sharm El Sheikh.

Tents and Homes Become Targets
The aggression was particularly devastating for displaced families seeking shelter. A drone strike hit a tent near the Applied College west of Khan Younis, killing three civilians. In a similar attack, four were martyred at the “Ard al-Insan” camp in Deir al-Balah. Elsewhere, a suicide drone struck a tent in the Deir al-Balah municipality square, claiming four lives, while five more were martyred in a tent in the Al-Mawasi area.

The assault on residential areas was equally relentless. A young girl was martyred in a bombing of the Abu Sharar family home in the Al-Bureij refugee camp. In Khan Younis, a child and his father died when a residential apartment was struck.
In a separate incident on Al-Qassam Street in Khan Younis, a strike on a civilian car killed five people, including a child and his parents, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society.

In Gaza City, an Israeli aircraft bombed the Al-Banna family home in the Al-Sabra neighborhood, killing four civilians, among them a child and an infant. Civil defense crews continued to search for victims under the rubble. Further bombings of homes in the Zeitoun and Yarmouk neighborhoods led to more casualties.

A Pattern of Violations
The government media office in Gaza later stated that the Israeli occupation has committed 127 violations of the ceasefire since it began on October 10, resulting in 94 fatalities and 344 injuries.
In a formal statement, the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, affirmed that the Israeli bombing “represents a blatant violation of the Sharm El Sheikh agreement.” The movement confirmed its own commitment to the truce and denied any connection to a recent shooting incident in Rafah.
Hamas described the aggression as “an attempt to thwart international efforts and a continuation of the policy of aggression against civilians.”
