The Israeli Security Ministry has officially acknowledged severe casualties within its occupation forces, confirming the deaths of 1,152 soldiers and security personnel since The launch of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on October 7, 2023.
The statistics, reported by Israeli Army Radio, reveal a devastating impact on the occupation military’s ranks. The data shows that the war has disproportionately claimed the lives of the young, with 487 soldiers—approximately 42% of the total dead—being under the age of 21.
The report also revealed deep social repercussions stemming from the rising death toll. More than 6,500 relatives of fallen soldiers have joined what the occupation refers to as its “bereaved list,” including 1,973 parents, 351 widows, 885 orphans, and 3,481 siblings, reflecting the growing societal strain on “Israel’s” internal front.
Data published by the Israeli military showed that the fatalities included 1,035 were members of the Israeli occupation army, alongside 100 police officers, 9 agents from the Shin Bet internal security agency, and 8 prison service members. The vast majority of the dead, 1,086, were male, with 66 females killed. The casualty figures are spread across age groups, with 337 dead between 22 and 30 years old, 187 between 31 and 40, and 141 over the age of 41.
This official admission comes as the Israeli occupation continues its two-year-long aggression against the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. The scale of the damage was further highlighted last July by the newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, which revealed that the number of wounded soldiers had surpassed 18,500. This figure includes thousands suffering from severe psychological damage, with estimates indicating the total number of wounded could reach 100,000 by 2028.
