Ansarullah leader Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badreddine al-Houthi hailed Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah as “a martyr of Islam and humanity,” praising the late Hezbollah Secretary General for shielding the region during the 2006 war.
He also reviewed the latest developments in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, and the wider region, accusing the United States of enabling Israel’s ongoing crimes and denouncing Arab regimes for their failures.
In a televised message on the latest developments in Gaza and the region on Thursday, he warned that the Israeli war on Gaza is approaching its second year, describing it as a campaign of genocide, starvation, and siege against the Palestinian people.
He said the occupation has escalated its bombardment of Gaza City, intensified incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque, tightened restrictions on Jerusalem, and accelerated annexation policies in the West Bank, particularly in Al-Khalil.
The Ansarullah leader noted that although Israel’s crimes are increasingly condemned worldwide, the aggression continues under American sponsorship. According to him, Washington’s use of its Security Council veto to block a ceasefire resolution, along with the visit of 250 members of Congress to Israel, illustrate the depth of US complicity.
The resistance in Gaza, al-Houthi stressed, has nevertheless carried out qualitative operations ranging from sniper attacks and ambushes to explosives and rocket strikes. He praised the Al-Qassam and Al-Quds Brigades in particular, calling their actions proof of “heroic, faith-driven resilience.” Such steadfastness, he said, stands in contrast to Arab regimes that pressure the resistance to disarm while the U.S. floods Israel with advanced weaponry.
On Lebanon, al-Houthi condemned Israeli air raids, civilian massacres, and house demolitions along the border, describing them as blatant violations of agreements with the Lebanese state. He argued that the government’s reaction is “submissive and weak,” warning that reliance on the international community is a losing bet.
He also pointed to Hezbollah’s preparations for the first martyrdom anniversary of Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah, whom he praised as “a martyr of Islam and humanity” who defended the region in 2006 and stood as a bulwark against US-Israeli schemes. “Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the resistance, and Hezbollah played a fundamental role in protecting the entire region,” he said.
Turning to Syria, al-Houthi accused ruling factions of pursuing security coordination with Israel under U.S. sponsorship, thereby serving Zionist projects such as the so-called “David Corridor” to the Euphrates. He further argued that the persecution of minorities in Syria pushes them toward Israel’s protection, advancing the broader Zionist plan.
He also highlighted recent US statements that grant “Israel” a privileged strategic status while reducing Arab regimes to “milking cows.” In his view, Arab normalizers are “chasing a mirage,” since so-called peace with Israel is illusory and the real conflict revolves around domination and control, not borders. Any party that accepts this reality, he warned, sacrifices dignity, freedom, and identity.
Al-Houthi noted that solidarity with Gaza has been visible but limited in Arab countries such as Bahrain, Lebanon, Tunisia, Morocco, and Yemen, while larger demonstrations were recorded in 19 European and American states. He also pointed to the launch of the “Fleet of Steadfastness,” comprising 43 ships from Spain, Italy, and Tunisia, with others expected from Greece and Egypt, in an attempt to break the blockade on Gaza.
In conclusion, al-Houthi rejected Western recognition of a Palestinian state that reduces Palestinians to a disarmed entity stripped of land and homes. “True hope,” he said, “lies in the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, which protects not only their cause but the dignity and future of the entire region and humanity.
