Backed by steadfast US political and military support, Israeli forces have intensified their assault on the Gaza Strip for a 67th consecutive day, following Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s withdrawal from a mediated ceasefire agreement.
The resumption of large-scale operations—595 days into the broader conflict—has unfolded amid mounting international silence and what regional observers are calling an unprecedented failure by the global and Arab communities to intervene.
Palestinian authorities continue to describe the campaign as a war of extermination. The renewed escalation has brought fresh waves of destruction and loss, especially across southern and central Gaza, where residential homes, displacement shelters, and medical teams have come under repeated attack.

Rising Civilian Casualties Across Gaza
In the last 24 hours alone, the toll on civilians has surged dramatically. In Khan Younis, Israeli airstrikes killed two children and injured several others after targeting an apartment within a crowded refugee camp.
In Deir Al-Balah, six aid workers were killed as they assisted in distributing humanitarian supplies. Ambulances arriving to evacuate the victims were also targeted in a subsequent strike.
The situation remains dire in Al-Maghazi, where five members of the Barbrawi family were martyred when their home was struck.
Another six individuals perished in a separate attack on the Dardouna family home in Jabalia, with multiple people still missing under the rubble. Nineteen people have been reported martyred in southern Gaza since early Thursday, including two by Israeli drone fire in the Qizan Al-Najjar area. Four more lost their lives when a displacement tent in the Asdaa area was bombed.
Among the named casualties are Yahya Mustafa Al-Abadleh, who died in a drone strike on Salah Al-Din Street; Fatima Hasan Yassin Al-Najjar, 38, killed in an airstrike on Al-Mawasi; and Fadi Adnan Hussein, who died when a shelter in Khan Younis was targeted.

In central Gaza, at least 25 civilians were killed in multiple Israeli air raids, including 10 people who died in a strike on a shelter for displaced families near the Baraka water facility in Deir al-Balah.
In Al-Nuseirat, Abdullah Saleh Hassouneh, 41, was killed alongside four children in a strike near Sayyid Qutb Mosque. In the same area, a drone attack killed Abd Nawaf Abu Hazeen and wounded seven others. Marwan Ayash, a resident of northern Al-Zawayda, died from injuries sustained in a previous airstrike on his home.
Three people were killed when the Abu Subat family home was bombed in southern Deir al-Balah. In western Deir al-Balah, another civilian was killed in a strike on a displacement tent near the Salah Association.
Dr. Zakaria Ibrahim Al-Sinwar, a physician critically wounded days earlier when his tent—erected atop the ruins of his home—was struck, succumbed to his injuries, following the deaths of his wife and children in the same incident.
In Gaza City, nine civilians were confirmed dead in airstrikes since dawn Thursday, including five members of the Bukhit family, who were killed in an Israeli bombing on the Safatawi neighborhood. Medical sources report that at least 61 people have been killed across the Gaza Strip since Thursday morning alone.
