Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) reported the death of a sergeant and critical injuries to a soldier during fierce battles with the Palestinian Resistance in the northern Gaza Strip.

The fallen sergeant, who served in the 9th Battalion of the 401st Armored Brigade, killed in the ongoing Israeli occupation military operations in the area, according to an IOF spokesperson.

In a separate incident, a soldier from the 931st Battalion of the Nahal Brigade sustained life-threatening wounds. The Palestinian Resistance ramped up their counter-offensive, announcing to have targeted two Merkava tanks and detonated an Israeli-occupied building in northern Gaza.
