Sheikh Naim Qassem, Deputy Secretary-General of Hezbollah, confirmed the report from Al-Mayadeen TV, citing European security sources. According to the report, six out of dozens of drones launched from Lebanon reached the “Ein Shima” military base, resulting in 22 deaths and 77 injuries at the two bases.
Sheikh Qassem noted that their own inquiries have verified the reliability of the Al-Mayadeen report. “Why did Zionist Prime Minister Netanyahu hastily declare the operation a failure on the same day and why no media, politicians, or government members were allowed near the site, which is unusual as the Prime Minister typically visits such locations?” Sheikh Qassem questioned.
He also pointed out that there was a significant security and media blackout surrounding the incident. The base was sealed off for several kilometers, and media outlets were instructed to refrain from reporting on the attack, raising suspicions.
Qassem further questioned the extensive media blackout and security cordon, noting the lack of coverage or updates from Israeli sources or leaks since the operation, which occurred over 20 days ago.
Speaking during the mourning ceremony of Hezbollah martyr all the way to Al-Quds, Hani Hussein Ezzedine, at the Imam Al-Mujtaba (A.S.) complex in Saint Therese, Beirut, Sheikh Qassem added that the resignation of the head of Unit 8200, responsible for intelligence and the base in question, has been attributed to the Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.
“Hezbollah’s support for Gaza will continue from Lebanon as long as the war persists, with increased support in response to Israeli aggression, especially against civilians. The only way for northern settlers to return safely is to halt the Gaza conflict, as the threats of war against Lebanon will not deter our stance on supporting Gaza,” Sheikh Naim Kassem concluded.
