The strike appears to be the first Israeli strike in Syria since the April 1 killing of several top Islamic Republic Revolutionary Guard Corps officers in the Iranian consulate in Damascus. The April 1 strike prompted a massive retaliation by the Islamic Republic on April 13, in which dozens of drones and missiles hit dozens of targets across the Zionist entity.
