Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said on Wednesday that the path of brotherhood and development of regional cooperation is the main agenda of Iran’s foreign policy in the region, and the obstructive actions of the enemies will not disrupt this process.
At the ceremony of receiving the credentials of the new Kuwaiti ambassador to Tehran Bader Abdullah Al-Munaikh, President Raisi emphasized that the path of brotherhood and development of regional cooperation is the main agenda of Iran’s foreign policy in the region, and the obstructive actions of the enemies will not disrupt this process.
The president said that the relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Kuwait are deep and based on common beliefs and cultures, and added that the existing capacities in Iran and Kuwait make it possible for the two countries to increase their economic cooperation and trade relations to several times the current level.
Stating that the Islamic Republic of Iran has always been a friend of its neighbors in difficult times, the President considered dialogue between neighbors and promotion of regional cooperation as the most effective solution to problems and clarified that the interference of foreigners in regional issues has not only not solved the problem, but has always caused problems.
In this regard, the President stressed that although building trust in bilateral relations is the starting point of all-round regional cooperation, but the enemies who could not disrupt the will created between the governments of the region for effective interaction, are trying to use deceptive tricks on the way of the development and consolidation of regional cooperation, which will not be successful.
While conveying the greetings of the Emir and Crown Prince of Kuwait, Al-Munaikh told President Raisi that he has come to Tehran with the mission of further strengthening the relations between Iran and Kuwait and intends to open a broader perspective and horizon in the relations between the two countries.
The new ambassador of Kuwait stated that his government, while welcoming the principled policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran based on dialogue, believes that the correct solution is to solve the challenges in the region and to improve the level of regional cooperation through dialogue.
He also appreciated the approach of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran in prioritizing dialogue and interaction with the countries of the region.
