Increased traffic between negotiating teams in the Austrian capital suggests that the talks between Iran and the P4+1 to remove US sanctions against Iran have entered a determining phase, according to IRNA news agency.
Iran’s top negotiator Ali Bagheri Kani had bilateral and multilateral meetings with representatives of all the P4+1 states, i.e. China, France, Germany, Russian and the UK, on Monday, IRNA reported.
China’s representative in the talks, Wang Qun, who was the last one to meet Bagheri Kani said that the Islamic Republic of Iran was playing a constructive role in the negotiations by offering new comprehensive ideas.
Wang said that Beijing supported Iran’s logical demands on nuclear issues as long as they pose no proliferation danger.
Russian representative Mikhail Ulyanov wrote in separate tweets on Monday that he had bilateral meetings with representatives of Iran, EU, Germany and the US as well as a multilateral meeting with the JCPOA participants ( without Iran) and the US.
“The P4+1 delegations were commuting between Palais Coburg and Marriott Hotel where the US team holds meetings with other representatives.”
This is an indication of approaching a sensitive and determining phase in the talks, since the team heads are coordinating with the US team, IRNA quoted observers as saying.
