The Yemeni rocketry and unmanned air forces managed early Thursday to carry out a large scale offensive against targets in Najran, including Aramco facility, the airport and other important sites in the city.
Spokesman of the Yemeni Armed Forces, General Yahya Sarea, noted that the Yemeni forces launched a Qasef K2 explosive drone and fired twelve Badr and Sair ballistic missiles, hitting the targets accurately.
The operation came in the context of the legitimate response to the ongoing Saudi war and blockade on Yemen, according to General Sarea.
Yemen has been since March 25, 2015 under aggression by the Saudi-led coalition in a bid to restore power to fugitive president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi, who is Riyadh’s ally.
Tens of thousands of Yemenis have been killed or injured by Saudi-led airstrikes.
The Arab impoverished country has been also under harsh blockade by the coalition which includes in addition to the Kingdom, the UAE, Jordan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Egypt, Morocco and Sudan.
