Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Major General Mohammad Pakpour warned on Wednesday that any foreign miscalculation in the Persian Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz or Iran’s islands will be met with a “decisive, immediate, crushing and regret‑inducing” response.
In a message marking the IRGC Navy Day, Major General Pakpour described the IRGC’s naval forces as a symbol of strong faith, intelligent resistance and deterrent power, calling them the guardians of long‑term security for the Persian Gulf and surrounding waters under the leadership of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei.
He hailed the IRGC Navy’s transformation into an “indisputable strategic and deterrent power” built on committed personnel, strong leadership, and domestically developed advanced technologies, as quoted by Tasnim news agency.
The top Iranian commander highlighted the IRGC Navy’s capabilities across surface and subsurface warfare, missile, unmanned systems, electronic and cyber domains, saying these strengths enable the force to demonstrate its deterrence to adversaries and ensure stability in the region.

He stressed that the IRGC Navy maintains peak combat, intelligence and operational preparedness, and warned the enemies of the Islamic Revolution that any wrong move or hostile act in Iranian waters will provoke an immediate and overwhelming reply.
“Any miscalculation by them (enemies) in the Persian Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz, or Iran’s islands will be met with a decisive, immediate, crushing and regret‑inducing response,” the general warned.
