Bahraini regime forces killed three activists on Thursday as they were trying to flee the country by sea.
Rida Al Ghisra, 29, Mahmoud Yahya, 22, and Mostafa Abedali, 35, were martyred after Coast Guards opened fire on their boat while attempting to flee Bahrain by sea.
Al-Khalifa regime’s Interior Ministry said Coast Guards asked the boat to stop, alleging that the boat “instead opened fire on the guards.”
Meanwhile, Public Security Forces chief, Tariq Al Hassan, announced in a press conference “thwarting an operation to smuggle some fugitives convicted in terrorism-related cases.”
Al-Hasan said the three escaped “Jaw” Central Prison, claiming they were on a boat heading towards Iran.
The Bahraini official confirmed the names of the three martyrs, adding that seven others were arrested in the operation, two of them were injured in the shooting.
