Palestinian young man was martyred early on Wednesday as Israeli occupation forces raided several areas across West Bank and arrested a number of Palestinians, Palestinian and Israeli media reported.
Younes Ghassan Tayeh, 21, was martyred during clashes that erupted after occupation forces raided Al-Faraah camp near Tubas city, Palestine Today reported.
Tayeh was initially injured after being shot in the chest, but he succumbed to wounds after medics failed to save his life, the report added.
Israeli media reported the clashes in Al-Faraah camp, confirming that Israeli soldiers killed a Palestinian during clashes in the camp.
The Jerusalem Post added that 25 Palestinians have been arrested in several areas across the occupied West Bank.
Palestinian media reported that Israeli occupation forces also raided Al-Yamon town, west of Jenin and Silwad town, west of Ramallah.
Commenting on the Israeli escalation, the Islamic Jihad called Palestinian people for unity and mobilization in a bid to confront the Israeli attacks.
“We call on our people to mobilize and work hard in order to boost the glowing Intifada,” the Palestinian resistance movement said in a statement quoted by Palestine Today.
The Islamic Jihad hailed the martyred Tayeh, hoping that his blood “will inspire Palestinians to escalate the resistance activity against the Israeli enemy.”
