The Lebanese cabinet approved on Wednesday two decrees related to the offshore oil resources in the context of the governmental endeavor to launch the excavation projects delayed due to political disputes.
During its first session after gaining the parliament’s confidence, the government endorsed the decrees which set out the blocks which are going to be invested.
Lebanon possesses trillions of cubic feet of oil and natural gas in its water, according to seismic studies carried out since 2013.
Lebanon and the Zionist entity have disputed over a region of 800 square kilometers on the Lebanese-Palestinian border as the Israelis have been infringing the Lebanese related rights.
The Lebanese government and political forces stressed the will to defend their oil rights from the various kinds of Zionist aggressions and violations.
President Michel Aoun, who chaired the session, called on the competent authorities to investigate the murder of the Lebanese immigrant in Angola Amin Bakri, disclosing reports about the possibility of a Zionist Mossad involvement in the crime.
