President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, met Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, today at the Presidential Palace.
The President discussed, with Premier Mikati, the current situation, in light of recent developments, and tackled the results of meetings held by ministerial committees charged with following-up various topics which the cabinet is working on studying and preparing.
Lebanese-Gulf relations and ways to address them were also deliberated, based on Lebanon’s keenness to establish the best relations with Gulf states in general, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in specific.
Mikati also met with the Labor Minister, Mustafa Bayram, and the Labor Union Chief, Bchara Al-Asmar, noting that he told President Aoun he would invite the council of ministers to convene soon.
