The Lebanese ministry of public health issued on Friday its daily report in which it announced 857 new coronavirus cases, 843 of them for locals and 14 among the arrivals, raising total to 6170369.
The report added that 18621 PCR tests were conducted during the past 24 hours, adding that the number of cases of recovery from the coronavirus rose to 578357.
According to the report, 4 new coronavirus-related death cases were registered, which raised toll to 8228.
Lebanon has continued the anti-coronavirus vaccination campaign across all the provinces as the batches of vaccines are scheduled to arrive in Beirut gradually.
Meanwhile, the health minister, Fira Abyad, met with the WHO director-general, Tedros Adhanom, who stressed the organizations’ commitment to support Lebanon and its pioneer experience in face of the coronavirus.
