The Lebanese Army announced on Sunday the final toll of deaths and casualties among its soldiers as a result of Tleil explosion which took place earlier in the weekend.
In an issued statement, the Army Command’s Orientation Directorate stated that “as a follow-up to the previous statement related to the explosion of the fuel tank in the town of Al-Tleil in Akkar, the final casualties count among the military personnel reached 24, distributed as follows: 2 dead, 11 in critical condition, 4 missing, in addition to 7 members with minor injuries who were treated and discharged from hospitals.”
Dozens of people were killed or injured as a warehouse where fuel was illegally stored exploded in northern Lebanon on Sunday morning.
Lebanese Health Ministry put the death toll at 27, adding that at least 79 others were injured, with several injuries were serious.
