Lebanese Army Commander, General Joseph Aoun, affirmed from Tripoli, that “it is not allowed for anyone to tamper with the city’s security. There will be no tolerance or leniency with those who tamper with stability, whoever they are.”
“To our people in the ancient Fayhaa, we feel you and sense your pain. Your security and the stability of the city are our responsibility,” he said, addressing the locals in the northern city.
Meanwhile, the Lebanese army units in Tripoli raided several neighborhoods in search of wanted gunmen who had opened fire at the Army during popular protests.
