Hezbollah’s Minister of Industry Imad Hoballah called for reviving ties between Lebanon and Syria, saying it was the right time for such a step.
In remarks to Al-Manar late Monday, Hoballah said it’s time now to formally revive ties with Syria, either through the caretaker government or the future one which will be formed.
“To my knowledge, caretaker Prime Minister Hassan Diab accepted that a minister or some ministers would visit Syria soon,” Hoballah told Al-Manar.
He said that the issue has been raised by Diab and some minister three weeks ago, revealing that it was then decided that the visit be delayed for a while of time.
Hoballah noted, meanwhile, that several issues would be discussed between the Lebanese and the Syrian governments including tariffs, refugees and other industrial and agricultural files.
