Syrian army and allies controlled on Wednesday in the Sheikh Saeed southern neighborhood of Aleppo after clashes with the so-called “Jaish Al-Fateh” armed group, leaving several militants killed or wounded.
Moreover, the Syrian army and the allied forces are seeking to progress in Al-Sokkari and Al-Ameri neighborhoods south of the city in order to seize control over them, expel the armed groups and liberate the civilian hostages taken by the armed groups as human shields.
In a similar development, the Syrian army took control of the abandoned battalion position in the Ein Hill, located in the countryside of the northern Daraa and is now controlling by fire the road to the town of Thuraya after being engaged in clashes with armed groups.
In rural Damascus, Syrian sources announced an agreement between the Syrian government and the committees of the Tall city in rural Damascus, providing that armed groups should accept the peaceful solution, hand their heavy weapons over to the army and move out of the area toward Idlib with their light weapons.
The deal was signed after pressure from the city residents who demanded either the acceptance by the armed groups or the completion of military operation by the Syrian army so that the city would be secured from terrorist groups that commit aggression on civilians and the surrounding areas.
Syrian army and allies regained swathes of territories in Maydaani town in Damascus eastern Gouta and controlled Nasri-Maydaani Highway as scores of terrorists escape the battle field.
