House Speaker, Nabih Berri, announced that the parliament will convene at UNESCO Palace in open sessions starting from Thursday, August13, in order to question the government about Beirut explosion.
It is worth noting that six MPs have resigned from parliament, including Marwan Hamade, Paula Yaacoubian, Sami Gemayel, Nadim Gemayel, Elias Hankash, and Neamat Efrem.
Lebanon has been in mourning as Beirut was ravaged by the two massive blasts which rocked its port, killing at least 150 people and injuring more than 5,000 others. Dozens have been also still missing.
