Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf discussed the latest developments in Lebanon and the region in a phone call on Tuesday, focusing on the political and military situation related to the memorandum of understanding signed between the United States and Iran, particularly the clause concerning ending the Israeli war on Lebanon.
In this context, Ghalibaf and Berri stressed the “necessity for the United States, the guarantors of the memorandum of understanding, and the international community to assume their responsibility in compelling Israel to end its war, halt the demolition of villages, respect Lebanese sovereignty, and immediately withdraw from the occupied territories.”
